I served on the USS Bellegrove in 1966-1968 and I have a case going trying to get VA medical benefits for my Type2 Diabetes. I was hoping someone might remember or know anything on movement of the ship in Feb.of 1968! If anyone knows it would be a great help! Hope to hear from someone soon. Thank you, Mike Asquith

Good morning, Another rainy day in Iowa, which makes about 20 days in a row, creeks are out and the corn and beans are under water all over the state. I think we live in Seattle! Ha! Wanted to include a couple of names on the site, for all you to keep these folks in thoughts and prayers. They are Robert Wade (40's) just recently in VA hospital in Little Rock, with Sundowners disease and dimemta, plus few other health problems He is home, but needs our words of encouragement. Address 706 SW 3rd St, Bryant, AR. 72022-3375. And also Sandy Strickler wife of Jack, (50's), has breast cancer, unable to attend NM reunion. Their address: 910 NW 74th St, Redmond, OR. 97756-9287. Hope to see many of you in NM next month, sounds like a great turn out for the Greigo family, and a fun time had by all. Take care, Les and Janet

We will not make it to the reunion this year. Jacks health is a lot better and we were going to drive down, then I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have an appointment with a surgeon on Monday to discuss my options. We pray everone will have a wonderful time in Albuquerque. Hope to see you all next year.

Dear Shipmates and Righthanders: A reminder to get your reservations into the Lopez/Greigo family before June 11th, which is not far away, time flies so quickly, it is already June. Wow! Weather is beautiful in Iowa, warm, but typical summer already. A great shipmate's wife, passed away May 28, 2010, wife of Joe Zarra, 40's gentleman, he died in 1998. Zella Zarra was in Hospice, and was 92 years young. Joe and Zella attended many reunions, a beautiful couple and joy to be around. Enclosed is son's address: Anthony and Kathy Zarra, 6 O'Conner Court, Ledgewood, NJ 07852. Please keep them in your hearts and prayers.

I'm signing in for my father and doing this at his request. He's 86 years old and served on the Belle from '43 to '45. He's a plank owner and wants to know if there are others. thank you.
