USS Belle Grove Logbook
We both think it would be better if the log would go back to the old way..Some people do not have a chance to see it via the internet, and we are having trouble, can get on the BG site but can not get the info about this years ship reunion.Welcome to the Uss Belle Grove wont come up.Its frustrating. So we would be in favor of it going back.If its not broke then dont fix it. Just received phone call from Frank Trautman, and he had a message on his phone from Peggy Dikommy, her husband Hans passed away. He has tried calling back but unable to get a hold of her. They lived in Springvill, FL. Hans served aboard the BG from 4/53 to 03/55. They had attended several reunions.

BURRRRRR!!!!! Cold in Iowa, but to warm up next week to maybe 30 during the day! We have had a few flakes of snow, but not a lot, but winter has just began. Ha!
Finally figured out how to find the logbook page again, geesh! My computer has been so messed up.
First of all sorry to hear about our beloved Jake, hope he is doing better and will be up and blowing on that harmonica. And Vic I'm sure you are healing with rehab, just do as they tell you.
Les is okay, just still having difficulty with breathing but the oxygen at night has helped a great deal. His strength is another issue. And loss of weight, so trying to give him lots of goodies during the daytime and little snacks.
Steven Gambriell will have surgery coming up soon, a valve replacement. And Miss Pat is with her daughter and doing better had some heart issues as well and then kidney stones, which they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her in Indiana, but she gets south and it is taken care of. So hopefully we will see her in Texas.
Please take care Dear folks and hope to see many of you in Texas.

Just talked to Vic Grillo and he is in rehab and told me that he is doing very well - he has talked to a number of his shipmates and as he told me he as friends all over the country. I wished him a speedy recovery and told him we have a date in July in Texas. He said that the good lord willing he will be there.
