Thanks to all of the Belle Grove family for their prayers and notes of encouragement. I'm printing everything we receive for Dad to read when he is able and I have read some to him when he is having a good day. Please know that we are thankful for you all!

We are starting our tenth week of hospitals so your prayers and good wishes are even more important to Dad and our family. I've not written an update since before Christmas simply because there wasn't much positive to say about his recovery. As I told you before then, Dad was progressing slowly but steadily after he was moved from Medical City Hospital into Baylor Rehabilitation Hospital on December 15. We were so thankful that our family could spend Christmas Eve Day together in Round Rock, sadly without Dad, but he was there in spirit and Mom returned to Dallas to stay all Christmas Day with him at the hospital. He had a very good day!

Since the new year began, Dad has had some serious setbacks, which we have been warned would likely happen, but we have very carefully and patiently worked through it all. This past week he was finally moved into the Baylor Specialty Hospital to help him recover what gains he has lost during the setbacks. We are very hopeful that this is a positive turnaround for his treatment. We know he has a long uphill battle but have faith that HE will see him through. With any luck, Dad will be back in the Baylor Rehabilitation Hospital later this week.

Take care, each of you, and do keep Dad and Mom in your prayers. We'll keep you updated as he progresses.

Our love to the Belle Grove family, Barbara, Rosemary and Trent Thompson

Wishing all the Belle Grove family a very happy and healthy New Year. Like the rest of the country the Notheast is having it's share of Winter. We were hit pretty hard with an ice storm here a couple of weeks back and lost power for four day's. Until you loose it you don't appreciate it. But we made it through and had a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy friendly New Year. See you all in Appleton in July.
